FIRDA SEAFOOD GROUP AS is a family- owned, fully integrated farming company based on the west coast of Norway, between Bergen in the south and Bremanger in the north. Firda Seafood Group produces salmon and fjord trout with operations in seven municipalities.
The company activities span the entire value chain, from roe collection to the production of fry, smolt and edible fish, including slaughtering, packing and export.
Ola Braanaas began smolt production in Flora in 1986, marking the start of FIRDA SEAFOOD GROUP AS, a farming company with 14 licences for salmon and fjord trout farming, four smolt production plants and a plant for slaughtering and packing salmon and fjord trout. In 2004, the export company Firda Seafood AS was set up to manage salmon and fjord trout exports for the global market. In 2013 the processing plant on Byrknesy opened, with a new head office.
